EVS, a leader in live video technology for broadcast and new media productions, today announced the launch of XT-S, its new software-defined multi-application server platform designed to give live production teams greater flexibility in how they deploy and evolve their infrastructure.

Joining EVS's LiveCeption portfolio alongside the flagship XT-VIA server, XT-S takes a different approach to live production infrastructure by providing a common platform that runs multiple applications. Production teams deploy the applications they need based on their operational requirements, and adjust as those requirements change.

Making its debut at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, XT-S initially supports LiveCeption replay and UHD zoom, with first deliveries planned for early 2027. Additional applications will be introduced over time, letting customers expand the capabilities of the platform without having to add a new purpose-built server for every workflow.

Among the early adopters, Game Creek Video and AMP VISUAL TV illustrate the range of ways XT-S can be deployed: Game Creek Video has been using the XT-S zoom capability across multiple sports, while AMP is adding XT-S replay to its existing fleet of EVS XT-VIA servers. For production service providers working across different events, customers and production formats, having a common platform that can support multiple applications simplifies infrastructure while making it easier to deploy capabilities where they are needed.

Our target with XT-S is to be multi-market compliant, from sports to studio production.”

XT-S is built on patented EVS technology and leverages modern CPU and GPU processing, enabling capabilities to evolve through software, while offering greater flexibility in deployment, resource allocation and lifecycle management. Modern APIs and interoperability further support integration with connected production environments, while security is embedded into the architecture to help protect production operations and preserve data integrity.

XT-S is part of EVS’s broader move toward a software-defined and converged live production ecosystem, giving customers another option for modernizing infrastructure while continuing to build on established production workflows and investments.
